A COMMUNITY CENTER FOR OLDER ADULTS TO ENJOY ACTIVITIES AND FRIENDSHIPS
At the Redmond Senior Center, we believe that every senior deserves nourishment, dignity, and connection. Through our partnership with the Council on Aging of Central Oregon, we are proud to offer both Meals on Wheels (MOW) and In-Person Community Dining as free services for eligible adults age 60 and older.
These programs are made possible through federal and state funding, community support, and the collaborative efforts of the Council on Aging and local senior centers. Together, we ensure that seniors throughout our community have access to nutritious meals and meaningful social connections, regardless of their financial situation.
Meals on Wheels is available to adults 60+ in the Redmond, Oregon area who need a little extra support, whether short-term or long-term. There are no income requirements. If you're recovering from surgery, living with a chronic illness, or simply finding daily tasks more difficult, we're here to help.
For those who are able to get out and about, we also welcome adults 60+ to join us for In-Person Community Dining, providing nutritious meals in a warm, social setting.
Thanks to our partnership with the Council on Aging of Central Oregon, there is no charge for Meals on Wheels or Community Dining services for eligible seniors age 60 and older. While voluntary contributions are welcomed and help sustain these valuable programs, no one is denied meals because of an inability or unwillingness to contribute.
These programs provide much more than nutrition. They support independence, health, and human connection. For many homebound seniors, Meals on Wheels volunteers may be the only friendly face they see all day. For others, Community Dining offers an opportunity to gather with friends, share conversation, and stay engaged.
Together, these services help seniors remain healthy, connected, and living independently for as long as possible.Meals on Wheels supports independence, health, and human connection. For many, our volunteers are the only people they see each day. We help seniors stay in their homes longer, combat isolation, and feel cared for.
Signing up is simple. Call the Council on Aging of Central Oregon at (541) 678-5483 and their team will help determine which meal program best fits your needs and walk you through the enrollment process.
