With this event, you’ll learn: basic knowledge of how the heart does (and doesn’t) work; the warning signs of a major heart attack; new coping skills to help you thrive; nutrition and exercise information customized for people with chronic conditions; and tips on incorporating heart healthy foods into your diet.
This event is free to anyone with heart disease or a chronic condition that affects the heart. Family members who would like to learn more are also welcome. Space is limited so please register in advance.
To register or if you have any questions, please contact Jane Jarman at (541) 548-6325. A Zoom link will be provided after completing registration.
Per the most recent mandate from Governor Brown, we are requiring masks inside of Redmond Senior Center. Your safety, health and wellbeing are our highest priority when instituting programs and maintaining operations at the center. Below are the precautions being put in place at our ‘yellow’ level of operation.
We will require masks for our staff, patrons, and visitors. Sanitation will be increased and done throughout the day, with sanitizing wipes in each activity room. Screening will be conducted upon entry to the center and a consent form will be required by all who are participating in meals and programs. Congregate meals and programs will continue, with limited numbers, social distancing and mask wearing. If you do come to congregate lunch, please stick to our “3 people to a table” change. If there are more than three people to a table, you will be asked to change tables. Unfortunately, if we cannot stick to this rule, we may need to close the dining room for lunch. We are looking into providing grab and go lunch for anyone who may not want to dine in person anymore.
We understand this news may be frustrating in light of the past year and a half, but that is why we are still staying open! We know that community support, in-person connections, programs and resources are of utmost importance, and we want to continue our support while instituting a few measures for your health and safety.
We will work with any patron who does not want to come in person anymore and see how we can best serve you through programs and resources. Please contact our staff to discuss your specific situation and any questions you may have.
It’s important to us to see you and serve you! We want to continue operating and hope we have your support with these increased measures.
